Ginger

Today I want to say thank you to my friend Ginger, also known as “Bombmunitions.” If you know her, you already know she’s one of a kind. If you don’t, let me tell you what you’re missing.

Ginger taught me better manners. She never lectures, she simply leads by example, with grace, kindness, and a sparkle in her eye that makes you want to be better. I’m a more polite person today because of her, and I’m grateful for every lesson.

She is also a true free spirit. Ginger is dancing all the time, in the kitchen, in the parking lot, in the middle of a sentence. Music is always playing somewhere in her heart, and she never cares who’s watching. She shows me that joy doesn’t need a reason or an audience.

She is a wonderful adviser, too, especially when it comes to my food choices. Ginger has opinions about what I eat, and she delivers them with honesty and love. Whenever I reach for something questionable, I can hear her voice weighing in, and I smile every single time.

But most of all, Ginger is hilarious. Her humor is quick, fearless, and completely her own. She can turn a dull afternoon into a story we’ll retell for years, and I have never laughed harder with anyone. Her laughter is a gift I treasure.

She is even related to the drummer from the Bee Gees, which feels perfectly fitting. Rhythm runs in her family, and it certainly runs through her. So this dedication goes out to her: “You Should Be Dancing.” And Ginger, you always are.

Ginger, thank you for the manners, the movement, the meal advice, and the mischief. My life is brighter, funnier, and a little more graceful because you are in it. I hope you know how much you are loved and appreciated.

Keep dancing, keep laughing, and keep telling me what to eat. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Love you, my dear friend, today and every day.
