Trampled Under Foot – Led Zeppelin
There is a promise in Scripture about trampling the serpent underfoot. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt cornered by fear, temptation, bitterness, or the weight of yesterday.
In Luke 10, Jesus sends His followers out to serve. They return amazed that even demons submit to His name. When He speaks of authority over serpents and scorpions, the surrounding verses point toward victory over the enemy’s power.
The strength comes from Christ. We receive it; we do not manufacture it.
That matters because spiritual warfare can become an excuse to call other people enemies. But the person who disagrees with us is still a person made in God’s image. Following Jesus means resisting evil while refusing to surrender our hearts to hatred.
Sometimes the serpent looks like the lie that says you are beyond forgiveness. Sometimes it sounds like the temptation to answer cruelty with cruelty. Sometimes it whispers that one more destructive choice will finally bring peace.
Putting that underfoot means refusing to let it lead.
For someone in recovery, that might mean making the call before taking the drink. For a wounded family, it might mean honoring a boundary and praying instead of sending an angry message. For any of us, it can mean telling the truth and taking responsibility.
These are everyday ways to practice faith, with humility and help.
Jesus also redirects His followers’ joy toward belonging to God. The deepest gift is salvation, beyond any feeling of spiritual power.
Paul writes, “The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.” — Romans 16:20.
Notice who acts: the God of peace.
We trust His victory through prayer, repentance, love, and perseverance. This promise gives us courage to face evil without becoming cruel ourselves.
At We Rock TV, we believe a song, a testimony, or an unexpected kindness can help someone take that next faithful step toward healing.
Keep moving toward Christ. Let His peace shape the ground you walk on, one faithful step at a time.
