Some of the best Christmas traditions begin with a simple invitation: come as you are, bring your wheels, and share the joy. Iron City Trykes is bringing that spirit to Homewood with its 2026 Santa Hat Stroll, a free afternoon built around families, friendship, and the freedom to ride.

On Sunday, December 13, from 2 to 4 p.m., Homewood Central Park will welcome children, parents, neighbors, and riders of all abilities. Put on a Santa hat and bring a bicycle, adaptive tryke, scooter, or another favorite riding toy. Santa will be there for photos and a festive ride, with hot chocolate and cookies to keep everybody smiling.

There is more to this celebration than holiday decorations. Iron City Trykes helps make cycling accessible through adaptive tricycles, reminding us that the simple experience of moving independently can mean the world to a child or adult. A ride around the park can become a moment of confidence, connection, and belonging.

The afternoon also includes a Santa’s Workshop bike-and-tryke build station. Admission is free, and no registration is necessary. If the weather refuses to cooperate, organizers plan to move the festivities to the Homewood Central Park Gym.

Wallace Jordan is the event’s title sponsor. Additional sponsorship opportunities have been announced for supporters who want to help make the day possible. For sponsorship details, contact ironcitytrykes@gmail.com.

At WeRockTV, Good Works means celebrating people who turn generosity into action. Iron City Trykes does exactly that, one rider and one smile at a time. You do not need to be a cyclist to appreciate what is happening here. You just need to believe that everyone deserves a chance to participate.

So mark your calendar, invite a friend, and find that Santa hat. We hope to see Homewood filled with wheels, laughter, and a little Christmas magic.
