Grateful for Everything
This morning, I am sitting beside a river with a cup of coffee, taking a minute to say thank You.
Thank You, Lord, for my daughters. For their lives, their possibilities, and the women they are becoming. I am grateful for the financial foundation that can help them build their futures, and even more grateful for the gifts no account can measure: love, kindness, wisdom, courage, and the freedom to discover their own callings.
Our family has walked through difficult seasons. Today, I am grateful that there is still room to grow, to heal, and to flourish.
I am grateful for the river running beside me. For solitude. For a little time alone. For coffee, and yes, for coffee refills.
I am grateful for Proverbs, with its wisdom for everyday living, and for Psalms, where joy, sorrow, questions, and praise all have a place before God.
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” — Psalm 117:1, Orthodox numbering; Psalm 118:1 in many Bibles.
I am grateful that I can play music. That my hands can still find a melody and my voice can still offer worship. There is something beautiful about giving the Lord everything you have, even when all you have in that moment is a song.
I am grateful for We Rock TV, for David Gornoski, Rebecca Rogers, Concerned Doctors, and everyone who has shared some part of this road. I am grateful for tools like ChatGPT that help me gather my thoughts and turn memories into something I can share.
I am grateful for the vision that began with renewed faith, and for every opportunity to put good into the world.
Today, I want to notice the blessings already here.
My daughters. This river. Another morning. Another song.
Good news. Good music. Good works.
Lord, teach me to receive this day with open hands and to share its blessings freely with others.
Thank You always.
I love You, Jesus.
