Crash Into Me — Dave Matthews Band

Crash Into Me comes from Dave Matthews Band’s 1996 album Crash. It’s one of the band’s best-known songs, built on Dave’s gentle acoustic guitar, Boyd Tinsley’s violin, and Carter Beauford’s light touch on drums.

Seen through a Christian lens, Crash Into Me is about a deep longing to be close to someone, to break through the distance between two people. Every heart is made for that kind of connection. Human love gives us a glimpse of it, but it comes from God, who loved us first and came all the way down to meet us.

“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
