3 on E — Vulfpeck
Some songs preach without saying a word. Vulfpeck’s “3 on E” is pure groove: a handful of players locked together, nobody showing off, every note leaving room for the next. That’s a picture of the church at its best. Paul wrote that the body has many parts, and each one matters. The bass doesn’t try to be the drums. The keys don’t crowd the rest. Each player serves the song, and the song becomes something none of them could make alone. Humility, listening, and joy in someone else’s part: that’s the kingdom in miniature. So turn it up, tap your foot, and thank God for the gift of making music together.
