GREATER WORKS: FAITH THAT GETS MOVING

Jesus said something astonishing: those who believe in Him would do the works He did, and even greater works, because He was going to the Father.

That is John 14:12.

The One who washed feet, welcomed outcasts, healed the sick, and loved His enemies called His followers into a responsibility.

I hear an invitation to participate in His work.

To carry His love farther. To serve the person standing in front of us. To stop assuming that someone else has to answer every need.

In the Orthodox Christian understanding, our life in Christ depends on His grace. Whatever good we accomplish comes through communion with Him, through the Holy Spirit, and through our willingness to cooperate with that grace.

We remain His servants. He remains our Lord.

And yet He invites us to act.

That speaks directly to recovery. There are days when getting out of bed, telling the truth, asking forgiveness, or keeping a commitment feels like all the work we can manage.

Those steps matter.

A changed life can become an encouragement to someone who has almost given up. An honest story can open a conversation. A small act of mercy can reach a person no sermon has reached.

I want WeRockTV to make room for that kind of work: music that lifts somebody, stories that tell the truth, and service that meets an actual need.

We do not have to pretend we have arrived before we begin loving people.

We can begin today.

Call someone who is lonely. Encourage someone in recovery. Feed somebody. Listen carefully. Give without needing credit. Pray, then take the next faithful step available.

Jesus entrusted His followers with work to do. May we receive that calling with humility, courage, and love.

“Without Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5

The strength comes from Him. Our response is to show up, keep learning, and make ourselves available for His purposes.
