Van Morrison’s “Fair Play,” from Veedon Fleece, puts me right there: riding Liberty down a winding back road, evening light coming through the trees, cool air moving across my face.
There’s a rhythm to a motorcycle ride. Lean into the curve. Let it open up. Keep your eyes on the road ahead.
That’s the zen of it for me. My attention settles into what’s happening right here—the feel of the handlebars, the sound of the engine, the changing air as I pass through a patch of shade.
“Fair Play” has that same unhurried feeling. Room to wander. Room to breathe.
Two wheels, a beautiful road, and a moment I’m glad to be living.
