Slave — The Rolling Stones
Slave comes from the Rolling Stones’ 1981 album Tattoo You. It started as a long jam from the 1975 Black and Blue sessions, and it features Sonny Rollins on saxophone and Pete Townshend on backing vocals.
Seen through a Christian lens, Slave is a groove about feeling stuck, working and repeating the same thing over and over with no way out. Scripture says whatever controls us becomes our master. Christ came to break those chains, and in Him we’re free.
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36
