Some songs bring you back to the faith that first took root in your heart.

Janny Grein’s music belongs in that place for me. There is something about hearing a familiar voice sing about the Lord that makes me slow down, listen, and remember what matters.

Today, I am sharing “By His Word.”

We hear so many words throughout the day. Opinions. Arguments. Headlines. Predictions. Other people’s judgments. Our own worries repeating themselves until they begin to sound like facts.

I need time in Scripture to remember whose voice I am following.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” — Matthew 24:35

That is something I can hold onto.

Faith does not mean every question gets answered before breakfast. It does not mean grief disappears, relationships become easy, or tomorrow arrives with an explanation.

For me, faith means returning to Christ with those questions, opening my Bible, praying honestly, and taking the next step with whatever strength I have today.

Sometimes music helps me do that.

A song can quiet the room enough for me to hear what I have been avoiding. It can bring gratitude back into focus. It can remind me to forgive, ask forgiveness, make a phone call, or sit still before God.

That is one reason good music matters to me.

Through WeRockTV, I want to share songs that have encouraged me, alongside the memories and conversations they bring. Some will make us laugh. Some will make us move. Some will invite us to worship.

This morning, let this one be a little encouragement for your day.

Pour your coffee. Take a breath. Listen.

Then spend a few minutes in the Word yourself. There is room to begin again, to learn, and to let God shape the way we treat the people around us.
