Imperial Drag was basically a collision of glam rock, power pop, and psychedelic California chaos built around musicians connected to several legendary underground and cult favorite bands:

• Eric Dover — lead vocals and guitar. Before Imperial Drag, Eric sang with Jellyfish live and later worked with Slash’s Snakepit alongside Slash from Guns N’ Roses. He became the center personality and voice of Imperial Drag.

• Roger Joseph Manning Jr. — keyboards and vocals. Roger was one of the founding geniuses behind Jellyfish and brought the massive Beatles Queen ELO style harmonies into Imperial Drag.

• Joseph Karnes — bass player holding together the groove and glam rhythm section during the band’s run.

• Eric Skodis — drums, bringing the explosive live energy that made Imperial Drag feel half Broadway glitter and half Sunset Strip meltdown.

The real connection is that Imperial Drag carried forward the adventurous melodic DNA of Jellyfish while Eric Dover brought the raw swagger and danger he sharpened touring with Slash’s Snakepit. The result sounded like David Bowie, Cheap Trick, Queen, and a late night Hollywood parade crashing into each other at full speed.
