This one goes out to my new friend Dee, whom I met in recovery.
Deee-Lite’s “Groove Is in the Heart” feels like a fitting soundtrack for celebrating a new friendship. Music has a way of reminding me that there is still joy to discover—and that we can find something to smile about while doing the hard work of starting again.
I’m grateful for the people God is bringing into my life on this journey. We show up, listen, encourage one another, and take the next step. Some days that’s enough.
