Golden Years — David Bowie
David Bowie released Golden Years in late 1975, ahead of his album Station to Station. With its funky groove and finger-snapping swagger, it became one of his biggest hits on both sides of the Atlantic.
“Don’t let me hear you say life’s taking you nowhere.” Seen through a Christian lens, that line sounds a lot like hope. Our golden years aren’t behind us. God is still writing the story, and the best is yet to come. Whatever season you’re in, He hasn’t finished with you.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
