Batman (1989)

In Tim Burton’s 1989 film, Gotham City is drowning in crime when two very different men emerge. Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne, haunted by his parents’ murder, becomes Batman. Jack Napier falls into a vat of chemicals and becomes the Joker, laughing as he spreads chaos and death.

Seen through a Christian lens, Batman is a battle between darkness and light. Both men were shaped by tragedy, but they choose different paths. The Joker gives in to bitterness and destruction, while Batman channels his pain into protecting others. Our wounds don’t define us; what we do with them does.
