Run to You – Bryan Adams

That opening guitar sounds like headlights cutting through the dark. Before Bryan Adams sings a word, “Run to You” already feels restless: somewhere to go, somebody to reach, something unresolved riding in the passenger seat.

Then that gravelly voice arrives, and the tension has a name. The narrator is drawn to another woman while already in a relationship. This is desire arguing with commitment, and desire has apparently brought a persuasive guitar player.

That tension gives the song its charge. The music makes running sound irresistible, even as the story gives us reasons to question the destination. You can enjoy every note while recognizing that powerful feelings do not always offer wise directions.

Most of us understand that struggle beyond romance. We run toward whatever promises relief: attention, applause, another drink, another distraction. Sometimes we call it freedom when we are simply trying to outrun an uncomfortable truth.

A great song can hold that mirror without delivering a lecture. Adams lets the urgency fill the speakers. We supply our own memories, our own crossroads, and perhaps the names of people we should have treated more carefully.

Through a Christian lens, the title opens another question: where do we run when life gets complicated? Psalm 46 calls God our refuge and strength, a present help in trouble. That gives us somewhere to bring our confusion before turning it into another person’s heartbreak.

Grace makes room for honesty. We can acknowledge temptation, take responsibility for our choices, and ask for help choosing a better road. Nobody becomes whole by pretending the struggle never happened.

At We Rock TV, we love music that moves the body and starts a conversation in the soul. This one does both, with a guitar riff that reaches over and turns up the volume.

So enjoy the drive. Let the chorus fly. Remember that every road leads somewhere, and the people beside us deserve care along the way.

Before you run, know what you are running toward. Your heart deserves honesty.
