Grateful Dad: Maui With My Girls
In March 2025, I took my daughters to Maui. Looking back, I am grateful for that time together and for the memories I will carry with me always.
Being their dad is one of the greatest blessings of my life. A family vacation lets you step away from everyday responsibilities and simply be together. Those days matter more than we sometimes realize.
Scripture reminds me where it all comes from:
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.” — James 1:17
Maui gave us warm sand, salty hair, and sunsets that made everyone go quiet. We laughed at silly things, lingered over meals, and watched the ocean do what it has always done. Nobody checked a calendar. Nobody rushed. We were simply together, and that was the whole point.
The Psalmist put it simply:
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24
If you are considering Maui for a family vacation, I can personally recommend it. And if you want a little island inspiration, take a look at Island Dream Productions’ Maui photography portfolio, which showcases whale watching, snorkeling, and sailing adventures:
My own little verse:
Blue water, warm sun, and my girls by my side,
Time slows to a whisper, the waves are our guide,
Lord, thank You for moments no money can buy,
For laughter, for love, and a wide island sky.
Thank You, Lord, for Your beautiful creation, for my girls, and for the gift of time together. ❤️
Take the trip. Take the pictures. Make time for the people you love. The years move quickly, and children grow faster than we expect, so say yes to the adventure while you can. One day these will be the stories we tell around the table, and I will smile because I was there. 🌴☀️
Thank you for reading, friends. What is your favorite family trip? Share it with me in the comments.
