Crown Day
Some days, holding steady takes everything you have. You pray. You accept help. You take the next step, even while you are afraid. And somewhere in that struggle, you discover that Christ is still beside you.
Today, James 1:12 speaks to my heart:
“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” — James 1:12 (KJV)
That promise belongs to all who endure and love Him. There is room for every weary soul who keeps turning toward Jesus.
As I recover from hernia surgery, I am thankful for the people who have stood beside me. Jeff and Kathleen, thank you for showing up with love. You reminded me that the Body of Christ has hands that help and shoulders we can lean on.
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
I am still learning patience. Still learning to listen. Still learning how to surrender what I cannot control and take responsibility for what I can.
Today’s prayer is simple: Lord, keep my heart soft through the hard things. Help me forgive. Help me receive kindness and pass it along.
“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Jesus wore a crown of thorns, and through His Resurrection, He gives us hope for everlasting life. So I am calling this a crown day: a day to remember His promise, give thanks, and keep walking in faith.
My own little verse:
Steady hands and a quiet prayer,
Friends who came to meet me there,
Thorns became a crown of grace,
Hope was waiting in His face.
Hold steady. Stay humble. Keep loving. I love You, Jesus. 👑❤️
Thank you for reading, friends. If you are walking through a hard season, you are not alone. Tell me in the comments below how I can pray for you today.
